SIAT Publications Reach Record High in Newly Nature Index

Nature Index provides absolute and fractional counts of publication productivity at the institutional and national level and, as such, is one indicator of global high-quality research output.

Recently, Springer Nature Limited has disclosed its newly Nature Index Tables (between May 1, 2019-April 30, 2020).

There were 131 publications from Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) counted into weighted fractional count (WFC) this time. SIAT saw a 22.86% growth to 26.06 from same period last year, and ranked 19th among all CAS affiliated institutes.

Since SIAT has established the research area of life and health sciences in recent years, the Index to Nature and Science reached 0.72 (including 65 publications), ranking 13th and 28th among all CAS affiliated institutions and Chinese universities respectively.

Besides, the Index of chemistry and physics, which are the typical strength areas of SIAT, has reached 12, including the publications in Angewandte Chemie and Advanced Materials.

By the end of June, 2020, a total of 10,212 research papers have been published from SIAT, among which 5,182 are included in SCI index, 3,474 in EI/ISTP index, and 64 in Nature, Science and their series. Moreover, the international collaborated publications went up to top 10 among all CAS affiliated institutes.
