From October 21 to 22, Laos delegation of the "2019 Seminar on Environmental Protection and Assessment" organized by Hainan University visited South China Botanical Garden (SCBG) for academic exchange and cooperation. Deputy director of Project Management & Foreign Affairs Department, Ms. YU Yan delivered the introduction presentation with SCBG history, achievements, and international cooperation. Moreover, Dr. Wang Faming of SCBG reported research progress on "Long term restoration of soil stable C in degraded tropical forest".

　　The delegation participants are mostly officials and experts from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos. The seminar is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China.
